About Parrothead Republic

Hi, I'm Gina — a crafter, sewist, and lover of all things beachy and island-inspired, making every single item right from our workshop in Winter Haven, Florida. And behind every great island shop is a great team — mine happens to be Darryl, who brings his own magic to the workshop handling all of our laser cutting and leather crafting.

Our love of the laid-back island lifestyle goes back over 20 years. It's not just a style for us — it's a way of life. The ocean, the music, the people who just know how to have a good time — that's our world, and it's what inspires everything we create.

Parrothead Republic was born on a Margaritaville cruise, where we found ourselves chatting with fellow passengers about the things we had been making for ourselves. The reaction caught us off guard — people were genuinely excited, and more than a few of them said the same thing: "You need to start a business." We took that to heart, came home to our workshop, and Darryl and I haven't stopped creating since.

Every item in the shop is handcrafted by us using a combination of sewing, machine embroidery, laser cutting, sublimation, and hand crafting — with leather, fabric, and wood. No factories, no shortcuts. Just the two of us, our tools, and a whole lot of love for what we do. Creating is my therapy and our shared passion, and I hope that joy comes through in every piece you hold.

We also love working with people on custom orders. If you have something specific in mind — a gift, a personal piece, something totally unique — we would love to bring your vision to life. Working with our customers to create something one of a kind is honestly one of our favorite parts of what we do.
